While revising for the physics common tests 2morrow on light, i went to look in the mirror and remembered that my eyes are brown... haha. i mean for so long i thought my eyes were black but it's actually brown. lol. ok. so since i've got nothing else to write about, i'll just recap on what i've just revised.
p.s: i was "revising". that means there were a few distractions here and there as i was revising in front of the com..

Light is a form of energy. The speed of light is faster than the speed of sound. A storm can prove this theory right because we see lightning before we hear the thunder clap.

Objects can be classified into to groups; non-luminous objects and luminous objects.
Luminous objects are objects that emit their own light. We can see luminous objects because the light from these objects are reflected directly into our eyes.

Non-luminous objects do not emit there own light. We can see these objects
because they reflect light from light sources and this reflected light is reflected into our eyes.
That is why we can the moon as it reflects light from the Sun.

Shadows are formed because light travels in a straight line and cannot bend around behind the object. As some of the light is being blocked, the area behind the object will be dark. This dark area is called a shadow.

A solar eclipse happens when the moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. A shadow of the moon will be cast on the Earth. The people in this shadow area will experience an umbra - total eclipse. Solar eclipses only happen in daytime. Since there is people who would experience total eclipse, there would be those who would experience partial eclipse which is also known as penumbra.

Reflection is the bouncing of light off a surface.
When an incident ray is reflected on a plane mirror at an angle, the reflected ray will reflect at an equal angle but on the opposite side of the normal.

The video did not mention a thing about the angle of incidence and reflection. Instead, they mentioned the angle of incoming light and the angle of outgoing light.

There are two types of reflection; regular and diffuse.
Regular reflection happens on plane mirrors. Diffuse reflection happens on a rough surface.
Paper may seem smooth to our fingers but if paper was seen on a microscope, the surface is actually rough. That is why an image cannot be formed on rough surfaces. Hence, we cannot see our own image formed on them.

Characteristics of an image formed on a plane mirror

The image is upright, virtual, as far behind the mirror as the object is in front of the mirror, laterally inverted and has the same size as the object.

There are two types of curved mirrors; Convex and concave.

Convex mirrors are curved outwards.
Objects are seen smaller in convex mirrors but they allow a large field of view.

Concave mirrors are curved inwards. That's all i know about them.

Refraction is the bending of light due to the traveling of light from one transparent material to another that are of different densities.

When light travels from a dense material to a denser material, the light will refract towards the normal.

When light travels from a dense material to a less dense material, the light will refract away from the normal.

Light travels slower in a denser material.

er, that's all i know about refraction.

common tests 1 2008

common tests are coming and i'll be mugging really hard for physics, chemistry, literature, and geography. maths, idk... maybe. ENG! haha. i think i'll just read the passages in the workbook.
distractions just suck...
i don't wanna use the com during the common tests period. but.... i think it will be a tougher test for me during the period... lol. HELP ME! haha.

2. so after that, we went into the void deck and we boys continued to play soccer but the girls started their photo taking sessions...

3. so when the girls went, we wanted to play at the street soccer court but it was occupied so we decided to play at the nearby basketball court but..... ya... it was occupied...

CNY 2008

ooooooookaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay..... so there was a CNY consert in school. it was quite entertaining. so ya... after that i met Shaz at the bus-stop near her school. in the bus, we met Guan Ki and some of our juniors. then, we alighted at the bus-stop near DZ. we saw no one outside the gate that was a classmate and we weren't allowed to go in anyway so we went to McDonald's. but, when we got there, we didn't even go in. lol. so we decided to go to the prime supermarket to buy drinks since we couldn't go to shopnsave as Shaz's mom was working there. after buying the drinks, we went back to DZ. so, there, we met Firnaz, Qingshu, Daryl, Jinghui, Banguo, Afiqah and Jian Cheng. ouh ya, now, Jian Cheng goes by the name J.C. lol. erm, banguo... haha... he was like an ad for adidas. i mean he looked like a model. lol. so when atiqah and her sis arrived and when they finished their girly group hugs, we decided to eat at McDonald's. haha. so we dawdled there and bumped into ziqing and her junior. guess what. firnaz, kg, m karthik, jared and many more still bear grudges against her for being the top scorer for the 2006 cohort. lol! haha. Guan Ki went home before we reached McDonald's. so we ate and J.C and afiqah "argued" lol. ouh and atiqah mentioned demoralize... haha. so after KG came and finished eating, we went to the playground near block 370 or is it 370? nvm... it's the one with the swings... so we boys played soccer and the girls played the swings. i wanted to play the swing but it was too low but when i swung it over to the top to make it shorter, it was way to short. so i didn't play. so after that, we went into the void deck and we boys continued to play soccer bu the girls started their photo taking sessions... lol... so ya... we played soccer until the girls went home... so when the girls went, we wanted to played at the street soccer court but it was occupied, we decided to play at the nearby basketball court but..... ya... it was occupied...

we decided to go to the street soccer court at Goodview. on our way there, near the basketball court, KG started kicking the ball high towards the 4-storey flat. so i asked them to stop kicking the ball towards the building but at the last second i kicked the ball. UNFORTUNATELY, the ball didn't hit the building but landed in front of a man. but we J.C, firnaz and i ran and left KG to his own demise. lol! haha... then, he "sulked". he said we should stop playing. haha... but he stopped sulking and forgave us. he claimed he was a fun-loving person. haha... right... lol... so we walked an endless road to the street soccer court... lol... on the downside, the street soccer court was OCCUPIED! haha... lol... so we played at the open field just beside it... haha. after that, we went to 7 11. we met ruixin there. it seemed that she was doing school work with her friends there. haha... can u imagine? lol... so we waved goodbye to her. haha. i just found a shop which sells can drinks for 45 cents and bottle drinks for 80-90 cents! won't tell u where? haha... i'm an
old scrooge... lol so we went back to the void deck near the playground and played soccer... so after we had enough fun for the day, we went home. long huh? haha...
